Community is at the heart of everything we do. We built Zia Hitch as a way to give back to our community through fundraising and jobs, all while sharing the love of our great state.
The first Zia Hitch was a creative project between our founder Ireke Cooper and his father Cy—a distraction from Cy’s battle with metastatic lung cancer. We launched the official business when market conditions endangered the jobs of two skilled fabricators at the Coopers’ family fire protection company—we wanted to keep our talented team employed.
We love creating hitch covers that support causes we believe in. Our hitches have raised funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, the 9/11 Fallen Firefighter Memorial Fund, Aztec High School student scholarships, and more.
We believe there’s power when people join together. Our products are designed to create a sense of kinship and pride. And we work hard to craft the best hitch covers around, so you can share the spirit of your community wherever you go.
